Status: Full-time
Summary of Job Duties:
· Consult with the Care Planning Team concerning assessment evaluations and assist in planning and developing the skin care treatment to be performed for the resident
· Initiate requests for consultation or referral
· Respond to requests from the resident, physician, or nursing staff
· Perform dressing changes and wound care.
· Responsible for monitoring/follow-up of all ulcers and incisions with appropriate documentation and communication to physician and family.
· Monitors daily functions in all aspects of infection control and prevention including maintaining clear records of immunization for both staff and residents, education of staff in all areas of infection prevention, maintaining signage of infection prevention protocols, tracking infections, and checking for PPE.
Qualifications:
· Current Texas nursing license (RN or LVN)
· Wound Care experience is preferred
· Infection Control experience is preferred
· Ability to relate with all staff and potential patients and family members
