Job Description

At Mesa, the host/hostess is the first point of contact for our customers, playing an integral role in ensuring our customers feel like family as they walk in the door. The host/hostess will maintain friendly, and high energy at all times.

Job Duties, Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests
• Treats all guests in a manner that makes them feel like family. Always strives to exceed guests’ expectations
• Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available; runs the floor plan board
• Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables
• Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.
• Answers telephone, and may answer questions concerning the menu and/or the restaurant
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to a positive dining experience.
• Fills to-go orders
• Helps maintain restrooms
• Sweeps front entrance area frequently
• Performs other duties as directed
• Assists in tasks to ensure a clean and safe restaurant
• Provides friendly and attentive service
• Works together as a team
• Is diligent to ensure that the customer experience is exceptional
• Maintains positive relationships; acts as the positive influence during shift
• Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11 – 30 per week
