Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor at Red River Potatoes is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across all shifts. This role includes supervising production staff, managing workflows, and maintaining equipment functionality to support smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve operational goals.
- Monitor and adjust workflows to optimize production efficiency and meet quality standards.
- Train, develop, and evaluate production team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure all production equipment is operating correctly and perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with the Facility Manager to develop and implement process improvements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate production records, including daily outputs and any equipment downtime.
- Enforce compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory standards.
- Manage inventory of raw materials and supplies to avoid production interruptions.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as Maintenance and Quality Control, to resolve issues quickly.
- Conduct regular safety and shift meetings to align team members with goals and updates.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- 3 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Basic maintenance skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on production equipment.
- Knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proficiency in production tracking software and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
