Responsibilities:
- Participate in project planning, to include field walk-through, scope definition, general construction plans, risk assessment and risk mitigation, and proposal to client
- Participate in the selection, acquisition, and coordination of project resources to include material procurement, subcontractor selection and coordination, and equipment as appropriate
- Ensure MESA SAFETY policies and processes, as well as project-specific safe work plans, are successfully executed in the field resulting in zero accidents or injuries on the project
- Ensure successful execution of projects by working closely with local management, project coordinator, and the field foreman
- Communicate regularly and effectively through the life of the project - both verbally and in writing - with multiple and varied project stakeholders to include MESA personnel, client personnel, and subcontractors
- Manage and maintain project financial and operational information throughout the life of the project for monitoring and control, change order justification, client invoicing, project cost approvals, and performance to budget analysis
- Ensure proper completion of all project deliverables to ensure customers’ expectations have been met and target dates have been achieved
- Assist with field project execution as client demands and/or schedules and deadlines require
Working Environment:
- Primary role for this position will be completed in the office, however field visits for job walks, customer meetings and project monitoring and occasional execution assistance may be required
- Position requires approximately 20% travel
- Probability of frequent changing priorities requiring flexibility, multitasking, and the ability to perform under pressure
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience
- 1 - 5 years’ experience in similar project management environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Good computer skills - primarily MS Office and AutoCAD
- Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and make decisions based on experience and independent judgment, often with limited information and time
- Humility to ask for assistance or additional information / explanation when needed
- Good mechanical mindset, with ability to read and interpret drawing and blueprints
- Good understanding of SAFE work practices in a construction environment
- Desire to learn and continuously improve
Preferred Qualifications:
- NACE CP1 Certification
Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. If you have questions, please speak to your recruiter about the flexibility and detail of our compensation philosophy. For this role, we anticipate paying $62,000 - $85,500 salary.
