Position Overview:
The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately transferring information from various sources, such as paper documents, emails, or online forms, into a computer database by inputting data into designated fields within specific software applications, ensuring data integrity and maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency while adhering to established guidelines and deadlines.
Essential Functions:
- Sorting and preparing data and files for entry
- Accurately typing data into databases or spreadsheets
- Following the company’s data entry systems and methods
- Backing up data
- Merging data from different systems
- Updating and maintaining databases
- Supplying staff with requested information
- Eliminating duplicated data
- Managing and archiving files
- Various administrative duties as needed
Work Experience
Required Experience:
- 2-3 years of Microsoft Experience
- 1 year of Administration Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the cathodic protection/pipeline industry

Education
Required Degree Level: High School Diploma
Skills
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Basic computer literacy
Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
