Mesh Systems seeks to hire a DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a member of our cohesive IoT solutions team working in a modern agile environment. You and your colleagues will design, test, document, and deliver software components for devices and cloud services as a critical part of end-to-end IoT Solutions. This is a hybrid position with work from home/in-office based out of our headquarters in Carmel, IN reporting directly to the DevOps Practice Lead. Fully remote teammates will be considered in certain circumstances.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Azure Bicep, Terraform, or OpenTofu
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms
  • Create scripts to integrate CI/CD tools for seamless application build and deployment
  • Identify and resolve build, deployment, and infrastructure issues in CI/CD workflows
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to deliver robust, end-to-end solutions
  • Implement tools and automation to support development, QA, and operational teams
  • Configure and maintain virtual networks, load balancers, application gateways, and network security groups (NSGs) in Azure
  • Manage Azure-native resources, such as managed identities, Azure Resource Groups, and role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Establish robust monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track performance and troubleshoot infrastructure
  • Experience building CI/CD processes for Microsoft .NET technologies (YAML expertise preferred)
  • Proficiency with IaC tools such as Azure Bicep, Terraform, or OpenTofu
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI/CD platforms
  • Solid understanding of Azure networking, including virtual networks, subnets, DNS, VPN gateways, and firewall rules
  • Familiarity with Azure Entra ID access management and role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, Agile environment

Preferred Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience working with IaC tools
  • 1-3 years of experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • 1 years of software development experience (.NET preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing (Azure preferred, AWS or Google Cloud applicable)
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and Kubernetes (e.g., AKS, EKS)

Interesting capabilities

  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as:
    • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
    • Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • Exposure to configuring and managing advanced networking setups, such as hybrid cloud connectivity and express routes
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting frameworks integrated with DevOps pipelines
