We have raised a significant amount from established institutional VC firms and are working to disrupt the hardware design industry. Our first goal is to empower manufacturers and product designers with an autonomous (or semi-autonomous) “mechanical engineer”. If you’re excited by the idea of building an AI mechanical engineer that shortens product design cycles, lowers manufacturing costs, and changes how the world thinks about mechanical R&D, we look forward to meeting you!About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Founding AI / ML Engineer to join our early-stage company and play a crucial role in building our AI-powered platform. You will be involved in all aspects of the development process, from design and implementation to testing and deployment. As a Founding Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building our core technologies and our company culture.A few key responsibilities may include one or more of the below : Create data sourcing, curating and ingestion pipeline.Develop scripts / tools for labeling or semi-supervised learning if needed.Manage large-scale storage (AWS, GCP, or on-prem HPC) and ensure version control for datasets and models.Work with large datasets, perform data preprocessing, and build data pipelines. Work on data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing to facilitate model training.Conduct rigorous testing and ensure the quality and performance of AI models.Architect and implement ML models (e.g., deep neural networks, generative AI models).Build robust pipelines to ingest multimodal data (2D images, videos, text, 3D mesh).Train / fine-tune open source models using domain specific data.Set up continuous evaluation metrics (accuracy, robustness) in a CI / CD pipeline.- Agentic AI systemsBuild and deploy AI based agentic system of systems with ability to perform tool use (function calling) via API integration that can interact with users and perform tasks autonomously.Utilize, modify or develop APIs to enable the AI agent system of systems to work with external tools.Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills in AI along with a strong academic foundation and high-profile experience taking robust AI solutions to scale.Strong ML / AI experience gained via education and / or industry experience, preferably working in autonomous robotics e.g. self-driving / autonomous vehicles, autonomous warehouse robots, humanoids.3 years industry experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning with 2 years in Generative AI, Agentic AI systems, Large / Small Language models.Experience working with multimodal data (text, images, point clouds, mesh).Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and C .Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).Experience with third party API integration and API development.Basic understanding of mechanical design principles (design, stresses, materials, DfM).Past collaboration with engineers or experience with FEA / CFD, CAD platforms and Digital Twins is a major bonus.Comfort with libraries like Open3D, CGAL, Open Cascade, or similar geometry tooling is highly beneficial.Comfortable with iterating on model improvements and verifying results with domain experts.Graduate degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Physics, or a related field.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Why Join UsPioneering Work : We’re tackling the next frontier of AI—automating mechanical part design, bridging generative models with mechanical constraints.Impact : See your solutions used in real manufacturing companies, changing how parts get designed and manufactured.Growth & Learning : Collaborate with mechanical domain experts, HPC specialists, and front-end devs. You’ll push the envelope on AI application for physical industries.Startup Environment : Agile team, flexible environment, ownership of critical AI modules.How to ApplyIf you're passionate about AI and eager to make a significant impact from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
