The Terminal Manager is responsible for effectively directing and managing a specified terminal location and the delegated local representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all terminal personnel and issues.
- Complies with instructions and acts as directed by upper management.
- Identifies and resolves issues/tasks in a timely manner.
- Recognized by team, peers, and management as a key supporter.
- Plan, implement, and oversee the work of staff members to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational requirements and company procedures.
- Consults with appropriate management to determine appropriate actions for problematic issues.
- Conduct ongoing audits, meet with individual staff members, direct other work activities designed to promote work safety, and encourage continuing education among staff members.
- Ensure staff members fully and consistently comply with company rules, administrative procedures, and policies.
- Collaborate with staff members and fellow managers to create, modify, and implement goals, procedures, policies, and objectives when the opportunity presents itself.
- Arranges equipment to be available when needed.
- Coordinate special projects assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in management, operation, and leadership.
- Experienced at successfully leading complex, cross-team projects.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
