Mesivta of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified History Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will teach three classes (9-11 grade) of World History, US History, and Government, Monday-Thursday. Scheduling is flexible with class options ranging from 2:15pm-6:30pm. Salary for this position starts at $7500 per unit, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Mesivta of Cincinnati, a new Jewish Yeshiva high school (Est’d Fall 2021), was founded to provide students with a superior education in the heart of Cincinnati’s flourishing Torah Jewish community. Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: classes do not start before 2:15pm. Fridays OFF.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Ohio History General Course Requirements
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
Effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
Utilize learning technologies and educational resources to enhance instruction
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education
Requirements
Ideal candidates will
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in secondary education or related field
Be able to organize units and engaging lessons based on Ohio’s state standards for high school social studies
Maintain an organized gradebook and take daily attendance
Maintain classroom management and discipline consistent with school policies
Communicate with students, staff and parents effectively
Work cooperatively with staff and Rabbis to ensure our students are getting the most out of each day.
Work well in a small classroom environment of 10-14 students.
Be able to pass an FBI and BCI background check
Teaching license preferred but not required
A strong familiarity with Ohio or national standards for ELA preferred by not required.
