STARTING RATE:  $15.00   MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  18 years old   LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  N/A   JOB SUMMARY:   The Bowling Center Attendant provides a safe and clean entertainment experience for our guests and learns how to troubleshoot problems in the pinsetters, cleaning, lubricating, and making minor adjustments.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS:   This person must have excellent customer service skills and must enjoy working with children and adults alike.  This person must create a friendly first impression when helping our guests and players.  Basic money handling and math skills are required.  Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   Must be alert at all times paying attention to children in the area creating a safe environment.    Issue lanes and shoes to bowlers, using credit card machines and cash register.   Keeping the Bowling Center areas in a clean and neat condition, presenting a clean wholesome environment.   Represent the company in a professional manner.   Troubleshoot problems with the pinsetters, cleaning, lubricating, and making minor adjustments.   Use of safe work practices is required.   Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.   CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:   Explain and demonstrate use of bowling equipment and arcade games upon request.   Use the guest’s name with each and every transaction.   Demonstrate 100% willingness to solve problems.   Apologize for any delay.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, or uneven surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as bowling balls and record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing of tall ladders, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, or crouching or crawling in restricted areas.   WORK CONDITIONS:   The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.  The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino.  The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines.  Moderate to loud noises from equipment in the work area.  The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino.  This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
