MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver’s License and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for organizing, implementing, and evaluating production of all entertainment related activities for all Mesquite Gaming properties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum six (6) months college or vocational training in electronics or sound engineering desirable. Minimum one (1) year experience working with audio visual engineering equipment required. This person must be able to handle the stress of multiple tasks; must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines in a timely manner. This person must have excellent attention to detail. This person must have good communication skills to interact with fellow team members, management, and guests. This person must be punctual and able to work in a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide leadership to team during execution of key entertainment and events.
Establish strong relationships with other key operational leads to produce and execute on flawless entertainment and events.
Hire, train, lead, motivate, evaluate, and discipline Entertainment Technical crew as needed and/or in the absence of the Entertainment Director.
Requisition, install, repair, and maintain sound, lighting, and stage equipment.
Design sound systems, operate mixing board, and monitor sound room equipment.
Design lighting systems, operate light board, and production equipment.
Maintain essential paperwork, such as requisitions, work orders, etc.
Review daily entertainment reports submitted by Entertainment Technical crew.
Enforce all safety procedures, rules and regulations for the department and OSHA.
Assist with writing of entertainment and related contracts in the technical rider sections, as needed.
Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work requires various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstanding prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs on a recurring basis. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
WORK CONDITIONS:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with irritant chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, glasses, hard hats, gloves, and boots.Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
