Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, coordinating nursing staff, and ensuring that the highest standards of nursing practice are maintained. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusion and injections.
- Manage airway management procedures when necessary, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for accurate documentation and communication.
- Monitor patients' conditions through medical imaging and cardiac catheterization when required.
- Maintain knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate billing and record-keeping.
- Provide training and support to nursing staff on best practices in patient care and emergency procedures.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in a hospital setting with a strong understanding of anatomy knowledge.
- Familiarity with dermal fillers is a plus.
- Experience administering injections is essential.
- Strong background in airway management techniques.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records, particularly Epic.
- Previous experience with IV infusion procedures is highly desirable.
