Messer’s Audit & Risk Management Department has a need for an Audit & Risk Intern for Summer 2025 (preferably starting the week of May 19th or 26th). The position is hybrid (3 days a week at the Company’s Bridgewater, New Jersey corporate office – 30 hours a week).

Principal Responsibilities
- Update existing business risk assessments within the Americas risk management tool periodically (training on the tool will be provided). Also, input any new risk assessments into the tool.
- Perform ongoing quality control of datasets within the tool for accuracy and completeness.
- Execute/obtain and maintain the internal approvals needed for risk assessments and their updates, and related documentation.
- Assist with the record-keeping of risk assessments and related documentation.
- Assist with the creation and coordination of the periodical risk report.
- Perform day-to-day tool administration and support.
- Perform audits, spot checks and document audit work-papers.
- Perform analysis and reporting as necessary using Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks or special projects, as needed.
- Undergraduate, Rising Junior or Senior
- Qualifying majors of study:
- Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics
- Must have a basic understanding of accounting or auditing.
- Must be detail-oriented with proven organizational skills.
- Must be innovative, analytical, and self-motivated to complete tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and have the ability to learn computer-based applications.
- Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.
