Job Summary
An engineering position responsible for system integration activities in support of proposals and projects. The ideal candidate is an expert in translating design information into Piping & Instrument Diagrams, equipment/piping/instrumentation/safety valve specifications, Plot Plan development, and general systems integration. Projects typically consist of green-field installations, plant relocations, plant capacity and efficiency upgrades. The systems engineer will support projects valued from $5MM to $120MM for green-field installations, plant relocations, plant capacity and efficiency upgrades.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead integration related activities in support of proposals and projects including but not limited to
- Interpreting Chemical process simulations of air separation plants and other systems for downstream equipment development.
- Develop process specifications for process equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, reactors, etc.).
- Developing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P & IDs)
- Develop process conditions for control valves and safety valves (including alternative scenarios for safety valve sizing).
- Develop alarm and trip setpoint lists.
- Coordinating HAZOPS and resolution of HAZOP actions (Project Specific)
- Participate in plant mechanical checkouts and developing/issuing as-built P&IDs to reflect all site modifications during commissioning. (as required, up to 30% in the field).
- Support proposals/projects by soliciting equipment bids as needed.
- Expert in process plant documentation development (P&IDs, equipment bid packages, line lists, instrument lists, etc).
- Proficiency in HAZOP activities.
- BS or higher degree in Chemical Engineering
- 10 - 15 years of experience in P&ID development, chemical systems engineering or related field.
