Job Summary

The Compliance Analyst will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) by coordinating with and assisting in developing and maintaining a comprehensive compliance program to ensure that the company’s operations are in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong Medicare background and experience with or be eager to learn the ACA. The Compliance Analyst must have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A keen attention to detail, good judgment, and ability to protect confidential information, along with professional phone etiquette and exceptional proofreading skills, are a must.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Demonstrated use of critical thinking skills.
  • Coordinating with Human Resources and CCO regarding new hire onboarding, which includes OIG/GSA scans and monthly reports.
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reporting.
  • Stay current on federal and state laws and regulations regarding Medicare and the Federally Facilitated and state-based systems.
  • Monitor and report any potential employee, agent, and agency issues.
  • Interact professionally and positively with employees, agents, agencies, and carriers using exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Review/proof documentation content for accuracy and consistency.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CCO.

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years compliance experience.
  • A background in quality assurance/control/auditing is helpful.
  • Knowledge of legal and/or regulatory environment.
  • 3-4 years of Medicare experience.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use good judgment and logic.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred skills

  • Bilingual (Spanish) – both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of CMS and regulatory guidelines for the insurance industry.
  • Life and health insurance license.

This is a full-time, hourly position, with overtime required as needed. Business hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional hours as needed to meet business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Financial – Hourly pay, with an annual target salary of $72k–$78k, including a profit-sharing target of 15%. Profit sharing is based upon the company’s financial performance and individual's contribution to company success.
