Messer Fort, PLLC is seeking a full-time attorney to work in its municipal and local government practice in its Austin office. M&F provides a wide range of professional legal services related to municipal government operations. Attorneys directly interface with the client, conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and attend meetings of the governing body.
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar to fill a full-time position. The successful candidate will practice primarily as a Municipal Court Prosecutor.
The Prosecution Section is responsible for the criminal prosecution of Class C misdemeanors and violations of municipal ordinances. Class C misdemeanors include traffic violations, assault, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and theft, among others. Additional proceedings include administrative adjudications in the hearing officer’s court, parking appeals, stormwater proceedings, and bond forfeitures.
