Responsibilities
- Key contributor to the design, specification, selection, erection, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical and power systems.
- Oversight of the numerous outsource vendors that support Messer Americas in the design, specification, selection, erection, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- This position is expected to be a team member supporting active projects, including :
- Ability to select and specify electrical systems
- Provide detailed drawing review and feedback to equipment OEM’s
- Critical supplier design audits of power equipment
- Ability to manage assigned goals in a project from specification process, through design and manufacture, construction and installation, commissioning, and resolution of field issues
- Develop, plan, and implement QA / QC plans related electrical checkout.
- Provide knowledge and expertise from plant operating environment to improve best practices
- Support Messer Americas with significant operational issues of equipment and provide assistance in plant commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Support and execute projects in multiple geographies as the business requires
- Work with contract resources to support our various projects
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Messer Group E & I standards
