Position Summary
These positions care for and clean the residence buildings while following the lead of your supervisor. They clean and prepare rooms and apartments for summer conferences to use. These positions are also responsible for the upkeep of the residence buildings, public areas, stairwells, laundry rooms, bathrooms and entrances. Project cleaning will take place at the discretion of your supervisor.
These positions are first shift in the Resident Halls during the summer. Coverage is 7 days per week, 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm. Students will be asked to work 5 days in the Sunday – Saturday work week and will have two days off. Work days may vary each week. You will be required to work every other weekend. Major Preferred Experience Required None, will train. Experience Preferred Any previous employment : cleaning and / or housekeeping. Skills, Characteristics Required for Position

Position Details :
Background Check Required Yes Primary Duties 1. Taking out the trash
2. Collect dirty linens to be laundered.
3. Clean and prepare assigned areas using proper chemicals and procedures. (Mop, wipe things down, vacuum, sweep, dust and more.)
4. Work with small machinery to complete cleaning tasks. (extractor, vacuum, leaf blower, KyVak).
5. Maintain equipment and storage areas. (Fill chemical bottles, dispose of rags, stock custodial closets, change Vac bag, clean kyvak, etc.)
6. Move furniture as necessary.
7. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
