Position Summary
The Education Department at Messiah Universityinvites applications for a full-time Assistant professor faculty member in the Undergraduate Education program. This is a 9-month position with limited summer responsibilities. Responsibilities This position is responsible for teaching and advising within the Undergraduate Program in Education, with specific expertise in upper elementary / middle level classroom experience as well as theoretical, researched-based knowledge. This position is responsible to teach foundational principles of Educational Psychology, Middle School Pedagogy, and possibly, Social Studies Pedagogy. Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD) in education. Candidates should have upper elementary / middle level teaching experience and be able to teach both introductory and mastery-level content. Candidates should have expertise sufficient to coordinate the undergraduate Upper Elementary / Middle School Curriculum and Teaching program. Higher education experience is preferred with emphasis on experience in educational leadership.
