This position will assist the full time staff in staffing in the fitness center during open hours. This may include mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.

Position Summary
The student worker will be hired to help operate the fitness center. This will be a part time position ranging from 10-25 hours a week.
Major Preferred
Applied Health Science or related field
Experience Required
None
Experience Preferred Skills, Characteristics Required For Position
The student needs to be friendly and welcoming as they greet those who enter the fitness center. The student needs to be First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of starting employment). Basic knowledge of how to use the exercise equipment in the fitness center is also required.
Dress Code Requirements
Employees must wear their fitness center issued t-shirt, or other Messiah branded shirts/sweatshirts. No crop tops or anything that shows the navel. Khaki shorts, jeans without rips/tears, solid color leggings or joggers, khaki or similar style business casual pants are all acceptable. No loose fitting /baggy sweatpants
Special Working Conditions
Students will be asked to open and or close the fitness center, work evenings, and potentially also weekends.

- Offer a friendly greeting to those entering the fitness center, and treat those exercising in the fitness center respectfully and professionally.
- Enforce all fitness center policies.
- Maintain and clean the exercise equipment.
- Be on time for all assigned work shifts.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Inform your supervisor of any broken machines and/or other exercise equipment.
- Regularly check the supply of gym wipes and inform your supervisor when levels are low.
- Other duties as assigned.
