Position Summary
The School of Graduate Studies at Messiah University invites applications for a one-year senior lecturer position in the Graduate Program in Social Work (MSW). This is a contract for August 2025-May 2026 with the possibility of renewal. The Messiah University graduate program in social work offers a specialization in Advanced Generalist Practice which is delivered online. Faculty in the program prioritize collegiality while striving to be excellent teachers are committed to working with and mentoring students. Responsibilities Teaching across the social work curriculum with expertise in clinical practice preferred. Teaching assignments may include graduate and undergraduate level courses (which are offered in-person). Academic and professional student advising, and active engagement in institutional service. Active participation in social work professional networks. Qualifications Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, a doctoral degree in Social Work or related field preferred but not required. Experience in higher education teaching, especially in an online format preferred. Experience working in the social work field (at least 2 years post-MSW). Professional licensing preferred.
