POSITION SUMMARY
As a Messina Hof Harvest Green Host/Hostess you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service, and high standards. The Host/Hostess will greet guests upon arrival, seat the guests at their appropriate tables, conduct a wait list if needed, enter and process to-go orders, and thank the guests when they exit the building.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Greet incoming and departing guests
- Escort the guests to their assigned dining area
- Clear tables of dirty plates, utensils, and glassware
- Prepare tables for new customers by wiping down tables, sweeping around and underneath the tables and setting napkins and condiments
- Understand the Point of Sale system and have menu knowledge
- Conduct To-Go orders and package them accordingly
- Receive payments and process tickets with cash, credit card, check, or gift cards
- Reconcile cash drawer at the end of the shift
- Assist the Direct to Consumer (DTC) department with quarterly Wine Club packaging
- Assist in all in-house Wine Club and VIP events to create lasting relationships with our members
- Assist in maintaining and auditing inventory by unloading monthly deliveries from our Estate Location
- Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)
- At least one-year experience in a customer service position
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with using a point of sale system or a reservation system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift over 50lbs consecutively
- TABC Certificate & Food Handler’s Certificate

and down stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
