Job Overview:
The Concessions / Catering Service Worker position is an integral part of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and handling cash transactions at our concessions stands. General Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing prompt and courteous service at all times.
- Accurately process cash transactions, including receiving payments, making change, and issuing receipts.
- Operate cash registers and other related equipment efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of concessions stands, including restocking supplies and cleaning work areas.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established guidelines and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of any shortages or replenishment needs.
- Provide information and assistance to customers regarding menu items, pricing, and any special offers or promotions.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of concessions stands before and after events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
- Verifies age and Identification of all customers for the purchase of alcohol.
- Perform other Duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Experience/Knowledge:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
- No previous experience required for this position.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills.
- Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and cash-handling procedures preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is an asset.
Skills/Aptitude:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints or issues.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
License/Qualifications:
Certifications:
- (If Applicable) Meets the Minimum age to serve alcohol in Louisiana.
- (If Applicable) A responsible Vender Card (RV Card) is required for the sale of alcohol.
- Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.
General Qualifications:
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Punctuality and reliability in attendance.
Physical Requirements:
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
- Significant walking or other means of mobility.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Generally, in an indoor setting, however, may supervise outside activities and events.
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours based on the needs of the business.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
