Seeking to hire a Mechanical Test Engineer for a one-year contract opportunity based in Golden Valley, MN. This position offers the chance to work on innovative projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electro-mechanical products.
Key Responsibilities :
Gain an in-depth understanding of the following electro-mechanical products :
Aquastat
- Limit Control
- Safety Switch
Identify and track components (machined / turned and molded) being transitioned to new suppliers.
Address supplier inquiries regarding unclear print specifications.
Initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for print updates when necessary.
Collaborate with Product Quality Assurance (PQA) engineers to determine required product-level testing for qualification with new supplier parts.
Develop and approve test plans, in conjunction with PQA engineers, for test technicians to follow.
Design specialized test fixtures as needed.
Assist technicians in troubleshooting testing issues.
Review and analyze test data, presenting results in clear formats (graphs, tables).
Draw conclusions from data to assess product compliance with test criteria.
Approve final test reports alongside PQA engineers.
