Scope of Position:
Working under the general direction of the Quality Manager performs a wide variety of duties associated with the administration of the ISO 9001:2015 quality objectives. These activities are in support of the overall business plan and departmental objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for testing, inspecting products and processes at various points in the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
- Efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.
- Ensure all products shipped comply with customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Audit and monitor quality requirements by the company quality standards.
- Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics; develop and maintain inspection reports.
- Initiate corrective and preventive actions as required.
- Monitors corrective/preventive actions to a satisfactory completion.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance are performed on inspection equipment and other critical tools.
- Conduct routine quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly.
- Work with other departments to resolve inspection issues.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
- Conforms to all Quality and Environmental Management System policies, objectives, and obligations.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High school degree or GED certificate preferred.
- Skilled with precision measurement equipment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information, mechanical drawings, product specifications, etc.
- Attention to detail.
- High level of visual awareness.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
