We seek An Administrative Assistant/Medical Receptionist who is pleasant, courteous, and professional in greeting individuals who walk into our facility, answer incoming phone calls, and assist with administrative tasks. In doing so, this individual will help promote a warm, welcoming environment for fellow staff, our residents, their families, and other visitors.
Administrative Assistant/Medical Receptionist Required Qualifications
- require a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED.
- Preferred: 1-2 years of medical front desk experience
- Preferred: Experience working on medical EMR system
- experience with coordination of care for Medicaid patients
- Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors and other employees
- Organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
- Time management skills to prioritize and complete a wide variety of tasks throughout the day
- Patience and listening skills to respond appropriate and interact positively with upset customers
- Interpersonal skiIIs to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive
Administrative Assistant/Medical Receptionist Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet people entering the building, answering any questions, providing directions and alerting staff when someone is there to meet or visit them
- Answer a multiple line phone system, manage calls by routing them to the proper extensions or taking messages and delivering them within our message system along with setting up conference calls as requested
- Coordination of care for Medicaid patients
- Manage the building log of who is entering and exiting the building
- Accept deliveries and mail, organize them to be distributed to the correct recipients using the office mailing system and ensure they get to the recipient in a timely manner while also managing outgoing mail and packages for pickup
- Serve as the face of the company, offering friendly service to those entering the building or calling in on the phone and maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and free of clutter
- Assist new applicants who come into the building to apply for positions, including providing them with applications, pens and clipboards along with any reference material they may need, such as telephone directories or Wi-Fi passwords
- Handle filing and data entry as requested
