Job Description:
As a Steel Material Handler with Met-Con, Inc., you will play a crucial role in the fabrication shop by supporting various duties such as loading and unloading steel from trucks, operating an overhead crane, transferring steel to production tables, and operating a forklift. You will also be responsible for performing rigging work to move material as required. In addition to these tasks, you may perform other duties as needed to support the fabrication shop.
Our ideal candidate is experienced in operating overhead cranes, load and unload structural steel outdoors, using and operating a forklift, and has basic math skills. They must be able to work in compliance with Met-Con's safety policies and procedures and as part of a team to ensure achievement of Company goals. Additionally, they must be able to stand on their feet for up to 8 to 10 hours and be organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
