MET Manufacturing Group (MET) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Technician to join our team.
MET is a full-service contract manufacturer specializing in precision fabrication using photochemical etching, waterjet cutting, and other value-added fabrication processes. We serve a diverse range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, military, electronics, telecommunications, and medical equipment. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality products with precision and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and program Keyence CCMs to inspect parts and verify dimensional accuracy.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, microscopes, and Keyence IMs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document and report non-conformances, assist in root cause analysis, and work with production to implement corrective actions.
- Conduct quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in developing quality control procedures.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Must be able to work on your feet and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector/Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with CMM operation and programming (Keyence experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency with standard inspection tools and measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with production and engineering teams.
