What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workforce Dev Specialist position at MET Opportunities?
- Apply and enforce approved agency policies and procedures.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with subordinates.
- Assure that all appropriate intra-agency correspondence is received and understood by staff.
- Provide guidance to staff that supports the accomplishment of MET’s objectives and mission.
- Complete and submit all required personnel forms and documents in a timely manner.
- As directed or otherwise authorized in writing by MET, represent the agency within the region.
- Represent MET on local workforce investment boards, adhering to stated agency positions.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and other sessions that further the objectives of the agency. Also represent the agency on appropriate advisory bodies, councils, and other entities.
- Monitor regional workforce investment activities and other appropriate programming within region.
- Assure that all relevant programs meet regional objectives, making supervisor-approved adjustments between offices as required.
- Implement and evaluate regional continuous improvement and quality assurance measures.
- Review programs to ensure client focus.
- Assure that agency services are carried out consistently with applicable regulations, codes, and laws and in accordance with appropriate legal and ethical standards.
- Review applicable documents for accuracy and content (sign and forward as appropriate).
- Resolve disputes involving MET that may arise among agency staff, clients, community partners, elected officials or other stakeholders.
- Develop relationships within region that result in expanded capacity for agency and secure additional resources for MET initiatives.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with MET’s administrative office.
- Complete assigned reports, forms, and documents, and forward them as indicated.
- Keep agency apprised of all relevant developments within region utilizing appropriate media (i.e. telephone, email, fax, postal services, etc.).
- Respond to requests from administrative office for information in a timely manner, assuring comprehensiveness and accuracy of response.
- Perform all other duties as outlined by supervisor.
