Duties
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality before sterilization.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during the processing of instruments.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for surgeries and procedures.
- Follow safety guidelines and infection control protocols at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry standards and practices.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of sterile processing principles, including:
- Aseptic technique: Knowledge of methods to maintain sterility during handling and processing.
- Medical terminology: Familiarity with terms related to anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
- Sterile processing: Experience or training in cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing medical instruments.
- Inventory management: Skills in tracking supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Physiology knowledge: Understanding of human body systems relevant to surgical procedures.
- Anatomy knowledge: Familiarity with the structure of the human body as it relates to surgical interventions.

Shift - 03:00 PM-11:30 PM
Duration – 13 Weeks
Position Required:
· Experience: Must have minimum 3 years of experience.
· Certification: Must have Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification in field required.
· EPIC experience strongly preferred.
· Call Requirements: No Call.
· Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend/holiday required.
· De-escalation is not needed for SPT
