Position Title: Laser Cutter, Press Brake Operator-Busbar Technician
Job Summary: The Laser Cutter Technician is responsible for the accurate and efficient Operation and programming of the Laser, PRess brake, as well as bending of busbars used in electrical switchboards. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, setting up, breaking down, cleaning and maintaining and operating machines, and ensuring that all fabrication pieces meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
Location: This position is required to be onsite M-F 270 North Congress Avenue, Lake Park, Florida. Hours are 7:30am to 4:30 pm.
Hours: Expectations are a minimum of 40 hour work week. This is a Full Time hourly position. Overtime requires management approval and s considered a privilege that is earned.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up and Operae Laser Cutter to specefications.
Set up and operate busbar bending machines according to specifications.
Set up and operate Press Brake machines according to specifications.
Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to blueprints and technical drawings.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders.
Translate specifications into physical products with precision.
Verify the dimensions and alignment of dead fronts, busbars and other manufactured peices to ensure conformity to specifications.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished dead fronts and busbars for accuracy, including angle, bend radius, and overall dimensions.
Ensure all dead fronts and busbars meet company quality standards and client specifications.
Document inspections and maintain records of production and quality assurance.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in training new team members when required.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve issues related to the bending process.
Adjust processes and machinery to correct deviations from specifications.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical fields is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in Press Brake and busbar bending or a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 80 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time in a manufacturing shop environment.
Other Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
