Description
ROLE Manage the shift ensuring; all employees follow all safety rules & work in a safe manner, produce product that meets all quality standards, along with working in an efficient manner so all production standards are met or surpassed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitors and enforces all safety rules and ensures all employees wear required PPE correctly as required
- Communicates effectively and often with employees to ensure all are aware of current requirements and changes
- Coach and motivate employees with constructive & positive feedback to create a collaborative work environment
- Identify and resolve workplace problems including tardiness and absenteeism
- Communicate with management on shift concerns and accomplishments
- Ensure employees are trained properly for specific job tasks
- Assist in hiring & firing of employees
- Work to improve employee retention rates
- Schedule employees;
- Monday – Sunday based on work requirements
- Ensuring job rotation and cross training
- Completes all required reports & paperwork timely & completely
- Maintain a 5S organized and clean factory ensuring a safe environment all 5S tasks are followed
- Works to resolve timely all safety, quality & machine issue
- Follows all procedures, rules and works in a safe manner, setting an example for all employees
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Required: Previous plastics, injection molding and factory experience preferred
