Job Description:
- This position requires development support for redesigning mainframe applications to web applications and web services.
- Responsibilities include maintaining current applications, documenting existing application design, and updating the system for upcoming releases.
- The successful candidate should be able to quickly learn the existing system, make updates, document functionality and design, and ensure application functionality in the validation environment.
- The candidate will be responsible for moving application code from development to validation environment and ensuring application functionality.
- The candidate will also assist in developing reporting and other project artifacts.
- The successful candidate needs to be fluent in web applications and web services using JEE technologies; familiarity with mainframe technologies is a plus.
- Experience with SQL and one or more RDMS; preferably IBM DB2.
- JPA ORM Tools (JPA, DROOLS, JBPM).
- Java Servlets/JSP, JAXP, JAXB, JDBC.
- Apache Ant/Apache and JUnit.
- XML, XPath, and XSLT.
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX.
- IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
