MetaOps Inc. has customers with operations nation-wide and internationally that have periodic needs for interim or contract-to-hire talent for Senior Electrical Engineer (PE). This posting is a proactive step to identify and create a relationship with professionals in this field for the years ahead. Licensed Engineers need only apply.
What you’d do
Every client we have will have different expectations, but in general you’d be responsible for taking a lead role in a wide range of activities. These could be: providing expert electrical engineering services to public power utilities throughout the Midwest. This role requires a strong understanding of public power utility operations, regulations, and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successful project management, contract administration, and bid response preparation.
Most assignments are full time, but flexibility to accommodate your personal situation is possible including 4-day work weeks on-site and fractional assignments from time to time.If you’re not local to an assignment, clients will pay reasonable travel and living expenses for the duration of the assignment.
Requirements to be considered
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on public power utilities.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, contract administration, and bid response preparation.
- Strong understanding of power system analysis and design.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of Midwest public power utility regulations and standards.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with renewable energy integration and distributed generation.
- Experience with substation design and construction.
- Experience with SCADA systems.
