What You’ll Do:
The Precision Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting high-precision components and products according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand tools, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions to ensure the accuracy and functionality of assembled products. Under direct supervision, set up and perform any (1) of the following welding processes to produce bellows capsules using standard materials and metals: TIG ID, TIG OD, or Laser ID.
- Achieve and maintain appropriate Operator Authorization(s) as required.
- Work from drawings and other documented work instructions.
- Make standard set-ups and maintain operating conditions as prescribed, submitting questionable settings to appropriate supervisor or technical leader.
- Maintain required quality and productivity levels, making minor machine and tooling adjustments to comply with requirements.
- Inspect parts using basic measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, and leak check equipment. Visually inspect parts for weld integrity; and when required, forward parts for dimensional correctness inspection.
- Ensure quality requirements are maintained using quantitative charting techniques, including Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- When required, assist and/or train other team members.
