Utility-Night Shift

Job Summary Come Join Pennex Aluminum Extrusion as a Utility driver. As a utility driver you will provide extrusions to throughout the plant. This is a fast-paced environment and a crew that is helpful and welcoming. Pennex is a great company to start your career and grow with. This is a night shift position for 7pm-7am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operator with die changes and runout table set up
• Assist Stretchers, Saw Crews, Tow Motor Operator and Press Operator as needed, and fills in during absence.
• Loads and unloads trucks as needed.
• Operates forklift/tow motor in a safe and efficient manner moving supplies and extrusions throughout the Plant. Must attend and pass Forklift Operators Safety course and possess a valid license to operate same.
• Empty trash containers as needed.
• Place empty baskets on wheels for saw crew.
• Empty scrap hoppers, separating alloy 6061 from 6063 as directed.
• Load and unload heat treat ovens; move metal to next department/area.
• Following proper procedures, start up Age Ovens, selecting proper cycles. Complete documentation and charts as required.
• Monitors Age Cycles periodically to assure proper operation.
• Responsible for making sure forklift is maintained in a safe working order. Reports any defects to Shift Foreman or Lead Person. Completes preventative maintenance and corresponding paperwork as directed.
• Replaces propane bottle refueling forklift as needed. Places empty in the proper area.
• Completes any paperwork required by the position.
• Assist with maintaining a neat and orderly Plant, ensuring aisle ways are kept clear. Will perform general housekeeping duties as directed.
  
  
  

Ideal Candidate Will Have

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or one or more years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
  
  

Other Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must attend and pass Forklift Operators Safety course.
• Must possess a valid Forklift License.

The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
