As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organized and motivated Production Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. The Production Assistant will work closely with the Vice President of Operations and be responsible for providing key support in day-to-day operations, including tracking work progress, updating production schedules and ensuring effective communication with the shop floor and our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain production schedules for both shops to ensure timely order completion
- Monitor and track production progress, identifying potential delays and taking corrective action as needed
- Communicate with shop leads to coordinate workflow, resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize production efficiency
- Provide timely updates to customers regarding order status, delays, and expected completion dates
- Provide updates to the Vice President of Operations, highlighting key metrics and potential bottlenecks
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels and coordinating material availability to meet production demands
- Use the ERP system to allocate and consume materials on a project by project basis
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting improvements
- Work closely with sales, customer service, and the logistics teams to align production schedules with customer expectations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Accurately input and maintain data in spreadsheets, databases, and other software systems.
Qualifications
- o Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
- o Experience : Previous experience in a scheduling/coordination role or related preferred, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, outlook)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail & a high degree of accuracy in work
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 40 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time and perform manual tasks.
- Comfortable working in Low & High-temperature environments.

Working Conditions
- Environment : Office setting within a manufacturing environment. You will be required to be in the shop multiple times a day to collect data and relay information to key personnel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
