Generator Modification Technician
Job Requirements:
- Prefer some experience with single phase and three phase electrical installation.
- Industrial Maintenance Manufacturing, or Industrial Electricity or similar experience is preferred.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Must be able to work 8–12-hour shifts – day shift with occasional weekend work.
- Licensed driver able to drive company vehicles.
Job Description:
Mechanical and electrical modifications for 40 KW to 1 MW standby generators. Typical installations include:
- Wiring and mounting 40A-2000A breakers and adding breaker enclosures.
- Conduit/wiring accessories such as enclosure heaters, load centers, motorized louvers, NiCad battery systems, battery chargers, and battery heaters.
- Conduit/wiring load banks, transformers, DPF systems.
- Mounting fuel tanks and connecting fuel level sensors to generator controller.
- Mounting fuel pump and fuel polishing systems. Connecting system sensors to generator controller.
- Basic PLC programming for Alarms and shutdowns.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location:
Newberry, SC
Occasional field work in SC, NC and GA.
Salary : $26 - $30
