Die Setter C

Principal Area of Responsibility : Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of equipment in the compaction department according to level of designated capability. Must ensure the efficient production of quality parts. Reports any problems to the shift supervisor or designee.

Specific Duties :

Follow all established safety regulations and procedures.

• General set-up of all processing equipment and repair or replacement of tooling at complexity levels A / B
• Removing tooling Set-up, adjust, operate equipment as required to maintain high quality product
• Relieve fellow workers as directed to support continuous operation of equipment
• Support training of personnel involved in department processing operations
• Assist Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, etc. with product, tooling and equipment difficulties
• Follow written and / or verbally communicated schedules
• Follow all instructions as provided on process control plans, assembly drawings, set-up sheets, etc.
• Material handling, load raw materials as required to support manufacturing process
• Gaging care and verification.
• Routine cleaning, care of machines, gages, and other equipment used
• Record keeping (SPC charts, Labor cards, Product Routers, Logs, etc.)
• Follow all standard work for autonomous maintenance.
• Participates in ongoing training and continuous improvement activities.

Physical and Mental Demands :

Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed above.

Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and move equipment, tooling and adaption at the minimum of 40 pounds,

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day to other assigned duties. Must function independently and with flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with co-worker and personnel.
