Quality Inspector

We currently have 1st shift opportunity for a Quality Inspector, responsible creating and maintaining quality documentation while working with state-of-the-art Hexagon DEA Global Silver CMM equipment in a climate controlled area.

Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Responsible for the planning, developing, implantation and maintenance of the Supplier Quality program.
• Assist in and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 certification requirements. Develop quality procedures as necessary.
• Manage vendor audits and ensure appropriate corrective action plans. Follow up with suppliers/auditors to ensure deficiencies/risks are mitigated.
• Ability to create CMM inspection programs using PCDMIS CAD software.
• Ability to use fixed CMM, Rommer Arm and Lecia Laser Tracker to inspect complex machined fixtures and parts.
• Perform deviation investigations and complete timely corrective actions.
• Maintain records of quality inspections. Develop reports as necessary.
• Ability to interpret customer’s quality control requirements.
• Work effectively with the Scheduler and Production Managers to communicate any delays or other issues including meeting product deadlines.
• Review job variances and assist with solutions.
• Develop and maintain a maintenance/calibration schedule for quality tools. Also develop procedures for calibrations and ensure procedures are followed correctly. Repair tools as necessary.
• Coordinate external calibrations as necessary.
• Provide training to other employees as necessary.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and policies.
• Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping practices.
• Create and maintain professional/respectful relationships with others. Be able to communicate effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• CNC Lathe/programming: 3 years (Required)
