Metal Pros is a metal fabricator specializing in overhead sign structures, railings, misc. metals, and other metal products for infrastructure. The company is growing and seeking a key individual to expand the team as an estimator and project manager. This individual will interact daily with all facets of the company, as well as customers and suppliers, guaranteeing that no two days on the job are alike. Duties of the Job:
- Prepare misc. metals quotes for commercial, industrial, and highway construction projects
- Facilitate discussions with customers to fully understand their job scope needs
- Estimate all aspects of the job cost in an accurate and timely manner
- Negotiate contracts with customers & vendors
- Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the estimating process
- Provide input towards the development of new manufacturing capabilities or value-added services
- Participate in discussions on which new projects fit our manufacturing capabilities
- Coordinate all project activities for jobs awarded
- Where required, timely and accurate data entry into applicable shared databases
- Work with detailing, production, & shipping/receiving departments throughout the project
- Procurement of all raw material purchased parts and outside processing services
- Use cost, quality, and delivery data to identify preferred suppliers for raw materials and parts
- Aggressive follow-up on all late parts being supplied or handled by outside suppliers
- Proactive customer communication on all job-related issues including but not limited to verifying delivery date(s), production schedule changes, work change orders, and field issues
Requirements:
- 2 years of construction estimating and/or project management experience
- Basic knowledge of metal shapes and welding
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications
- Intense attention to detail
- Strong personal drive to succeed under tight deadlines
- Exemplary communication, organization, and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Construction management, engineering, or similar degree (preferred)
Salary:
- $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
- Salary commensurate with experience
