AM 12 - Steel Estimator - Fabrication / Erection - Twin City, GA

Our company is a fabricator and erector specializing in Structural Steel, Misc Metals, Ornamental Steel and Steel Renovation work.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews project plans and provides estimates.
  • Review contracts to make any revision of the scope of work
  • Able to read Structural and Architectural drawings and
  • Prepare accurate take-offs of material, shop, and field hours.
  • Create Job files, complete required bid forms and scope of work from General Contractors, and type and send out proposals.
  • Estimates small and large projects.
  • Estimates multiple projects with deadlines, following up after bid submission
  • Must be able to work diligently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in preparing detailed Miscellaneous Metals proposals
  • Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and installation
  • Good communication skills and diligence in following up with customers
  • Proficient in using different estimating software
