What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Fabricator position at Metal Roofing Systems?
The Metal Fabricator is responsible for receiving in-bound shipments, organizing material, fabrication of trims and edge metal systems, fabrication of specialty components, and routine maintenance of equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
- Receive and process materials
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for cycle counts
- Keep a clean and safe working environment
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience working with others
- Familiarity with sheet metal and sheet metal equipment
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift objects greater than 50 LBS on a consistent basis
- Current forklift license
- High school or equivalent degree
- Willingness to take on special projects as assigned
- Building Products/Roofing Experience a plus
