What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trim Apprentice position at Metal Roofing Systems?
The Trim Apprentice will be trained to receive in-bound sheet metal material shipments, organize inventory to maintain efficiency, and the fabrication of trims and edge metal systems. Must be detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, and able to multi-task.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
- Receive, process, and organize sheet metal materials
- Perform inventory controls and maintain high quality standards for cycle counts
- Keep a clean and organized working environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment and perform light maintenance
- Follow company quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma/GED required
- Familiarity with sheet metal installation and equipment (Metal Flashings, Drainage Flashings, Roofing Panels, and Wall Panels) preferred
- Current forklift certification
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to lift to 75 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Willingness to take on special projects as assigned
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
