Job Title: Router Operator – Night Shift
Reports to: Foreman
Location: Jeanerette
Status: Hourly
Hours: Full Time, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday-Friday
Potential for overtime on Weekdays and Weekends
Education or Required Experience:
· 3 years’ experience operating Onsrud router tables with Sigmanest Software
· Ability to write G-code
· Advanced computer skills with ability to transfer and copy files
· Ability to setup and operate router
· Able to do light editing of programs and nest parts as needed
Required Skills:
· Possess strong attention to detail in order to aid Metal Shark’s strong quality assurance program
· Ability to operate equipment safely and comply with all safety standards
· Excellent math skills and able to read a tape measure
· Demonstrates strong work ethic
· Must be able to operate power tools (grinders, saws, drills, etc.)
· Excellent communication skills
· Works well with others
· Ability to perform preventive maintenance on the router
· Able to load and unload router table with material using overhead crane and keep material free from defects
· Keep a clean and maintained work area
· Able to select the correct material (size and thickness) for the job
· Ability to take accurate measurements with calipers and micrometers
· Preform inspection of cut parts
· Must be able to set-up and select the correct tooling for the job.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
