Job Description
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for maintaining, and servicing accounts for the organization. This position responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner while treating customers courteously, entering orders as needed and scheduling/tracking shipments for outbound material. This position proactively identifies customer needs and advises customers of potential issues with orders, including delivery setbacks, material shortages, credit or others, resolves customer complaints and claims by partnering with the appropriate parties internally, and elicits feedback from customers regarding products, services, pricing, overall performance and status of open quotes to monitor customer satisfaction. The Customer Service Representative will also work closely with shipping partners to ensure order accuracy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, additional education a plus
- 1 years of customer service or sales experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of steel industry and product knowledge a plus
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Highly organized, with ability to multitask
