JOB TITLE: CNC Operator Level 3
DEPARTMENT: Production
POSITION TYPE: Hourly
COMPENSATION: Based on Experience
JOB SUMMARY: Operation of CNC machinery with the ability to (1) set-up machines, (2) program, and (3) train employees to be a level 1 or 2.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Read and interpret blueprints and related technical data.
- Able to train, assist, and support level 1 and 2 CNC operators to produce quality parts.
- Perform simple to complex set ups and operation of CNC machines.
- Understand, calculate, and set controls to regulate machining functions.
- Can program CNC machines with complete knowledge of G and M codes.
- Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specification, using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
BASIC SKILLS:
- Able to perform basic math (addition and subtraction).
- Able to problem solve and/or trouble shoot situational challenges.
- Able to interpret oral and documented instruction.
- Reasonable communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft excel, Solid Works, and Outlook email encouraged but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Able to lift 75 pounds.
- Able to stand and walk for 2–3-hour intervals.
- Able to work in an environment with a moderate to loud noise level.
- Periodic exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and machinery.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- 3 Years of machine related experience
- Complete knowledge of G and M codes.
- Training in general safety.
- Forklift Operator Certification preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
