Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Material Handling team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, inventory, and shipping processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Efficiently manage the movement and storage of materials within the warehouse. Ensure that materials are accurately labeled and stored in designated areas.
- Inventory Counts: Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accurate inventory records. Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Backup to Shipping: Assist the shipping department during peak times or as needed. Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
- Material Kitting (Future Plans): Deliver material for the workstations for production. Ensure all components are accurately included and properly labeled for easy identification. We are working to move to this model for our operators.
Qualifications: While not required and we do train, we would get excited with the following qualifications already in place.
- Experience: Previous experience in material handling, inventory management, shipping, or kitting is preferred.
- Forklift Experience is welcomed but not required.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a team. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and inventory software.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Hours of work:
Typically, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday – Friday. A significant amount of overtime is not anticipated for this role; however overtime may be needed at times to cover the needs of the team and company.
