TITLE : Cashier / Scale Clerk
REPORTS TO : Feeder Yard Manager
LOCATION : 2133 Maple Ave., Niagara Falls NY 14305
HOURS OF OPERATION : Mon- Fri 7 : 15 am - 4 pm, Sat 7 : 15 am - 11 : 30 am
COMPENSATION : $16-18 / hr, based on skills and experience.
PURPOSE :
The purpose of the Scale Clerk / Cashier position is to accurately record weights and measures of inbound / outbound truck / carloads. Record peddler credentials and process and validate payout transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Answers telephone.
- Oversee scale operation.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner and provide quality customer service.
- Provide metal recycling information to customers.
- Transaction computer entries.
- Prepare daily / weekly ATM and cash reports.
- Balance and handle cash drawer on a daily basis.
- Prepares customer BOLs.
- Compiles and fax weights shipped to customers post shipments as per customer expectations.
