What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavator/Mobile Crane Operator position at Metalico?
We are seeking a highly skilled applicant with heavy equipment experience in the industrial setting to join our team at Metalico in Girard, Ohio, a leading full-service scrap metal recycler in the Northeastern United States. The ideal candidate will have industry experience in scrap metal recycling, and attention to detail and accuracy. This position will work on 2nd shift. Must be able to operate an Excavator / Mobile Crane to breakdown, process, and move material for production. Experience with Sennebogen is required.
Essential Job Functions :
- Breakdown, process, and move material around the yard for production purposes.
- Operates and / or drives equipment as required.
- Conducts pre-shift safety inspection of equipment. Ensures proper maintenance.
- Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
- Keeps work area clean, well-organized, and safe.
- Must be able to participate in a Drug-Free Workplace
- Performs other tasks as assigned or requested.
